Our Cookery Courses

From searing the perfect steak to baking the perfect loaf, anyone can learn to be a better chef in our cookery school – even if they don’t know the first thing about cooking. All of our courses are run by our senior chefs. They have all been with us for years, and each has an encyclopaedic knowledge of food. They are also experienced teachers, who know how to put people at ease.

As in our restaurant, we use seasonal, local or homegrown produce wherever we can. In fact, our cookery school overlooks our vegetable garden, where you might even pick your own ingredients.

We keep our class sizes small, to give everyone plenty of one-on-one time and hands-on advice. And, we do all of the prep in advance, so you’re free to focus on the cooking. We’ll give you course notes and recipes to take home with you, but we also encourage you to ask questions and make your own notes. Above all, we hope you’ll leave feeling energised, with a headful of ideas and a sense of achievement.
